This disc provides faster operation, greater durability, and a longer lifespan than standard fiber discs, all while requiring less grinding pressure.
The 3M™ Cubitron™ 3 1187C Fiber Disc features an enhanced 3M Precision Shaped Grain construction that elevates the legendary speed and longevity of 3M™ Cubitron™ Performance abrasives to an entirely new level. The advantages of this disc include increased productivity and reduced overall grinding costs when grinding various metals, including stainless steel and other heat-sensitive alloys, compared to other fiber and pressed-center grinding discs. This durable fiber disc removes up to 56% more material overall compared to the 3M™ Cubitron™ II Fiber Disc 987C, 36+, ensuring rapid operation and high material removal rates across a wide range of operating pressures. Additionally, the disc is designed to minimize hand and palm vibration, increase throughput, and complete more parts per disc during medium and high-pressure grinding operations.
