The YATO Soldering Gun 80W YT-8273 is a reliable tool for various soldering tasks, featuring a traditional design and a resistance heater powered directly from a wall outlet. With its simple construction, this soldering gun is designed for durability and long service life, requiring proper care of the soldering tip. It's ideal for soldering copper wires, basic electronics in through-hole assembly technology, and connecting stained glass or jewelry using the Tiffany method.
The high-quality coated copper tip ensures efficient heat accumulation and dissipation, while the ergonomic two-component handle with an anti-slip element enhances user safety.

Care Instructions for the Soldering Tip
The tips of YATO soldering guns are coated with a material that minimizes oxidation. Prolonged heating and mechanical wear can degrade this protective layer, leading to quick oxidation and difficulties in melting the solder. To maintain optimal performance, it's recommended to tin the tip. When first warming up the soldering iron, apply a small amount of solder to the tip and remove any excess using brass shavings. This will create a protective layer against oxidation. It's advisable to tin the tip after every job.
Important Note:
Soldering guns powered directly from a wall outlet should always have a plug with a grounding pin and be used with a grounded outlet. Failing to ground the metal housing of the heater poses an electrocution risk, which could result in burns. All YATO soldering guns come with a grounding plug that connects to the metal housing of the heater.
