The YATO Dead Blow Mallet 490g (model YT-4626) is designed for tasks that require a strong impact while simultaneously protecting the surface of the material being struck. Its unique design features a hammer head made of metal with a diameter of 45 mm, capped on both ends with durable plastic caps that resist mechanical damage.
The mallet's head is partially filled with metal shot, which moves freely within, eliminating the rebound effect commonly associated with traditional hammers. This design ensures that the entire force of the impact is directed towards the material, minimizing any negative consequences from bouncing. It is mounted on a varnished wooden handle made from ash, measuring 365 mm in length.
